Travel startup TripIt continues to expand its service for business travelers (and the ways it makes money from those services) with tonight’s launch of a new package called TripIt for Business . The San Francisco-based company aggregates all of a user’s travel information into a single itinerary, so they can find the information they need in one place. As you can guess from the name, the site’s new service adds features aimed at companies, in particular smaller organizations that don’t have their own travel program.

The announcement comes as Microsoft is embroiled in a patent battle with CRM competitor Salesforce.com , which has been offering a CRM SaaS and app marketplace for years.

The latest batch of Chatter Labs apps include two packages that target developers. Both include extendable classes that let you build your own functionality on the platform quickly and easily using the work the app developers have already done. In this first video, Herman Kwong shows you how to implement “Like” functionality using his Chatter Shelf, Stars and Actions Framework.

Last night at the hackathon event at Cloudforce 2010 in San Jose we announced the winners of our Chatter Developer Challenge. The community voting was one factor in an incredibly difficult decision made by the judges, and in the end they had a very difficult time coming to a decision due to the extremely high quality of the entries, opting to award more placings than originally planned
