Quicksilver plugin for Salesforce

Cisco adds to $5.5M bagged by Mashery to manage APIs

Mashery, a startup that helps software companies market, distribute and keep track of their application programming interfaces (APIs), has just raised $5.5 million in a third round of venture funding, according to a filing with the SEC . With more web-based startups releasing APIs to extend their capabilities and engage users, this type of service seems to be in higher demand than ever — a fact that attracted attention and cash from Cisco Systems.

You can’t manage online ad inventory like a stock market

The shelves were filled with books on C, a few smatterings of web design, and of course, the trusty O’Reilly In a Nutshell books; but alas, there were no Java books.

Jive Software , a company that builds social networking tools for businesses, just announced that it’s looking for a new chief executive. Dave Hersh, the outgoing CEO, is switching roles to become Portland, Ore.-based Jive’s chairman of the board, where he will take a less hands-on role in managing the company

Jive Software , a company that builds social networking tools for businesses, just announced that it’s looking for a new chief executive. Dave Hersh, the outgoing CEO, is switching roles to become Portland, Ore.-based Jive’s chairman of the board, where he will take a less hands-on role in managing the company. Board member Tony Zingale is taking over as interim CEO while Jive looks for a permanent replacement
